Draw a vector line at any angle


You can draw a continuous, arrow, dash or dash dot line depending on the line type you select in Step 4.

Drawing a line at any angle

1. If they are not already selected, select the following icons:

2. If no Pick Color is selected, Scan2CAD will draw the line in black.

If you want to draw in any other color, select a Pick Color.

3. Choose a line width using Vector Edit Menu > Pen Type > Pen Width.
4. Select a line type by right clicking then clicking on the line type you want to use.
5. If you want to draw the line using a grid, set a Grid Snap Distance.
6. If you want to draw the line using snaps, make sure that the End Point Snap and/or Between Ends Snap are turned on.
7. Position the cursor at the line’s start point. Press down your left mouse button. Holding down your left mouse button, move your mouse. As you move your mouse you will see the line being drawn. When you are satisfied with the line, raise your left mouse button.

Drawing a horizontal or vertical line

To draw a which snaps to the horizontal or vertical axis, follow the above process but instead choose the following tools at step 1.

Click to undo.


If the line is displayed in red or gray, vectors are set to display by type. Press C to toggle between displaying vectors by color or by type.
