PDF loading and saving commands

To load the raster entities in a PDF file, use LoadRaster. If the PDF file is a multi-page file, only the first page will be loaded.

To load the vector entities in a PDF file, use LoadVector.  If the PDF file is a multi-page file, only the first page will be loaded.

To process both the raster and vector entities in a PDF file, and to process multi-page PDF files, use BatchSettings followed by BatchByDirectory.

PDFImportSettings

PDFRasterType Color Raster As (1=BMP, 19=JPEG)
PDFMaxDPI Limit Raster Max (value between 0 and 2400)
PDFMakeArcs Make Vector Arcs (1=ON, 0=OFF. If ON then PDFMakeBeziers should be set to OFF)
PDFMakeBeziers Make Vector Beziers (1=ON, 0=OFF – If ON then PDFMakeArcs should be set to OFF)
PDFMakeCircles Make Vector Circles (1=ON, 0=OFF)
PDFLoadText Load PDF Text (1=ON, 0=OFF)
PDFAlwaysDisplayVectorColours Always Display Vector Colors on Load (1=ON, 0=OFF)

7 arguments.

Sets PDF import options to the specified values. If you do not specify PDF import options within the Command File the settings currently set within Scan2CAD will be used.

PDFExportSettings

PDFEXPORTSETTINGS 1=Save Type Colors, 0=Save Vector Colors

1 argument.

Sets PDF export options to the specified values. If you do not specify PDF export options within the Command File the settings currently set within Scan2CAD will be used.

SaveRasterPDF

No arguments.

Saves the currently loaded raster image as a PDF file.

The PDF file will have the same name as the raster image, but with a .pdf extension.

SaveVectorPDF

No arguments.

Saves the currently loaded vector image in PDF format.

If the vector image is the result of a vectorization run it will be saved using the same name as the raster image that was vectorized. For example if a raster image called floorplan.tif has been vectorized, the vector image will be saved as floorplan.pdf.

If the vector image was loaded using the LoadVector command, the PDF file will have the same name as the vector image, but with a .pdf extension.

SavePDFPage

No arguments.

Saves the currently loaded raster and vector images in PDF format.

If only a raster image is loaded, this will be saved as a PDF file. The PDF file will have the same name as the raster image, but with a .pdf extension.

If only a vector image is loaded, this will be saved as a PDF file. The PDF file will have the same name as the vector image, but with a .pdf extension.

If both a raster and a vector image are loaded, both will be saved to the PDF file. The PDF file will have the same name as the raster image, but with a .pdf extension.

SaveAsPDFPage

PDFFileName

One argument.

Saves the currently loaded raster and/or vector images as a PDF file with the name you specify.

If only a raster image is loaded, this will be saved to the PDF file. If only a vector image is loaded, this will be saved to the PDF file. If both a raster and a vector image are loaded, both will be saved to the PDF file.

The following example code saves the currently loaded raster and/or vector image as a PDF file called floorplan1.pdf:

SAVEASPDFPAGE

c:\users\username\documents\scan2cadv8\samples\floorplan1.pdf
