Enhanced Conversions

Scan2CAD offers ‘enhanced conversions’ which make use of AI or machine learning for improved conversion accuracy. Unlike all other Scan2CAD features, to make use of this enhanced feature, Scan2CAD must upload you file to a secure server for processing.

Enhanced conversions is an entirely optional feature for which you must opt-in to use. You may continue to convert your files without without uploading files, if you wish.

As always, the security of your files is important to us. Your files are not stored by Scan2CAD. They are sent to Google’s document processing server for conversion. You can view Google’s Security & Compliance statement here.

Enhanced conversions will use the version of your file which you first open into Scan2CAD. If you choose to alter or erase parts of your image, prior to running OCR, this will not be reflected in the OCR results.

Conversions enhanced by AI require significant cloud computing power. Therefore each subscription includes credits to limit abuse of the system.

You can view the number of remaining credits in the OCR tab when ‘Enhanced OCR’ is enabled. Your credits reset on the date of your Scan2CAD subscription renewal.

If you wish to continue converting your files after using all credits, you can do so with the standard OCR by simply disabling ‘Enhanced OCR’.
