Connectivity for Activating Scan2CAD

Scan2CAD must connect to the online licensing server to activate your license or free trial.

Follow these troubleshooting steps if your connection fails.

Step 1. Check your internet connection

Are you connected to the internet?  The easiest way to test your internet connection is by loading a webpage with your browser. If this works you’re probably connected.

Step 2. Check your anti-virus software settings

It is common for anti-virus software (AVG, Avast, etc.) to block connections made by applications.

We recommend these antivirus settings:

The way in which you disable HTTPS scanning will depend on the antivirus software you use, here are the instructions for disabling HTTPS scanning in Avast/AVG.

Add an exception to allow the Scan2CAD.exe or Scan2CAD.app.

3. Check your firewall/network settings
