What the Character Space Limit doesThe Character Space Limit is the number of spaces that can occur between two characters. If the number of spaces exceeds this limit, Scan2CAD splits the characters into different text strings. If you set the Character Space Limit to 0 or 1, each character is recognized as a separate text string. The default Character Space Limit is 4.
For example, because there are abnormally large spaces between some of the words in the line of text above, Scan2CAD may recognize it as three separate text strings:
MAIN INTENT AND PURPOSE OF PLANS
If you increase the Character Space Limit, Scan2CAD will recognize all the words as one string:
MAIN INTENT AND PURPOSE OF PLANS
Set the Character Space LimitSet the Character Space Limit in the OCR Settings dialog, which appears when you select OCR Menu > Settings.
