About clearing buffersYour buffer is effectively your pasteboard (otherwise referred to as ‘clipboard’.) If you have been copying large raster areas (see copying a raster area) your computer’s resources (i.e. your RAM) may become bloated which will in-turn prevail less than optimum PC performance. The Clear Buffers tool is a useful feature in these circumstances. When executed you will permanently delete your pasteboard therefore freeing some of your computer’s resources. How to clear buffersSelect Raster Edit Menu > Clear Buffers. Clear Buffers clears the Pasteboard. Please note: You cannot undo Clear Buffers.
