Create a new training set

About creating a new training set

Creating a new training set gives you the ability to recognize non-standard raster entities as vector characters. This is useful if, for example you wish to convert text in an image which is written in a non-standard font or handwritten.

How to create a new training set

1. Select Train Menu > Initialize Training Set.

The message “Training Set Created” appears.

2. Click OK.

Please note: Scan2CAD creates a new training set that is empty except for the characters +, -, / and \. These characters are automatically included in every training set as they are always similar enough regardless of fonts. We must also keep certain characters as a standard to ensure they are not incorrectly identified as other vector entities. For example a collection of ‘-‘ could be recognized as vector dash lines.
