Scan2CAD is available with the following license types:
Single PC LicenseScan2CAD is licensed for use on one PC only.
USB Stick LicenseWhen you install Scan2CAD, a Scan2CAD License File is copied onto your own USB stick. Once the License File is on your USB stick, you can install and use Scan2CAD on any PC that the USB stick is inserted into.
Fixed Network LicenseEach license can be used on one network workstation only. You may prefer this option to the Floating Network License option below if users need guaranteed access to a copy of Scan2CAD at any time. You need to install Scan2CAD onto each workstation it will be used on. During installation, you will specify a public shared folder where all users who are going to use Scan2CAD have read and write access. A Scan2CAD License File is copied into this folder.
If a Scan2CAD Activation dialog appears at program startup, you can also access the License Viewer from the ? Icon at the bottom left of the dialog.

If you buy an additional Fixed Network License, we will send you an Activation Key. You can add the additional license to your existing licenses as follows:

If you have a Fixed Network License, the License Viewer allows you to deactivate the license on a workstation so that a user on another workstation can use the software instead. To do this:

The Scan2CAD license on the selected workstation is deactivated and becomes available for use on another workstation.

Floating / Concurrent Network LicenseEach license can be used on any workstation on the network, so long as it is not already in use on another workstation. You need to install Scan2CAD onto each workstation it will be used on. During installation, you will specify a public shared folder where all users who are going to use Scan2CAD have read and write access. A Scan2CAD License File is copied into this folder.

Unlike a Fixed Network License, there is no need to manually deactivate a Floating License if you want to use it on another workstation. The license will automatically deactivate itself when a workstation exits Scan2CAD and will become available for use by another workstation.
