Load an HPGL file

 

1. Use File Menu > Vector > HPGL Import Options > HPGL Resolution to set the resolution of the HPGL file when it is loaded into Scan2CAD.

1016 plu is the default resolution using standard HPGL plot units, but if you are going to rasterize the HPGL file it can result in a raster image too large for your PC’s resources to handle. Reducing the HPGL file resolution to 600, 300, 200 or 100 dpi reduces the size of the raster image produced, but be aware that small plot details may be lost in the rasterized image if you select a resolution that is too low.

2. Click or select File Menu > Vector > Load.
3. Select HPGL in the Files of Type section of the dialog.
4. Select the HPGL file you want to load from the dialog.
5. Click Open.

The HPGL file is displayed on the screen and its name appears in Scan2CAD’s Title Bar.

 

If the HPGL file appears on the screen upside-down or mirrored horizontally:
1. Press Ctrl+F8 to close the HPGL file.
2. Select or deselect File Menu > Vector > HPGL Options > HPGL Mirror > Vertically or Horizontally, as appropriate.
3. Reload the HPGL file.
