Select a print option

The print options determine the size of the prints created by printing the raster or vector file.

Best Fit

If you select File Menu > Print > Options > Best Fit, the raster or vector image will be printed at the maximum size to fill the paper size and orientation you have set for your printer.

Scale to DPI

If you select File Menu > Print > Options > Scale to DPI, the raster or vector image will be printed at such a size that each pixel in the raster image matches a pixel on the printer.

This means that if the raster image was scanned at a resolution of 600 dpi and the printer has a resolution of 600 dpi, the image will be printed at the size of the original drawing before scanning. If the raster image has a resolution of 600 dpi and the printer has a resolution of 1200 dpi, the image will be printed at half the size of the original drawing, etc.

Scale to Inches

If you select File Menu > Print > Options > Scale to Inches, the raster or vector image will be printed at the size of the original drawing before scanning.

If the raster image doesn’t contain dpi information, the Dots per Inch dialog will appear when you select File Menu > Print > Raster or File Menu > Print > Vector. Type the scanning resolution of the raster image into the dialog and click OK.
