If you have a drawing that is larger than your scanner you can scan it in pieces (“tiles”) and then fit the tiles back together in Scan2CAD before vectorization.
Scan your drawing in tiles and save each tile as an individual file. OR If your scanner is Twain-compliant and is connected to the PC that Scan2CAD is installed on you can go straight to Step 2. You will scan your drawing directly into Scan2CAD in Steps 3 and 4 below.
Use the dialog to select the file containing the first tile. Click Open. The tile is pasted into the target sheet. OR Select File Menu > Tile > Add Tile from Twain Source. Add Tile from Twain Source starts up your scanner software. Use your scanner software to scan a tile. The tile is pasted into the target sheet.
Tiles can be large and slow to move. Before moving the tile, you may want to select outline view. To toggle between outline view and detail view, press Shift+O or right click and select Outline View.
Use the dialog to select a file containing a tile. Click Open. The tile is pasted into the target sheet. OR Select File Menu > Tile > Add Tile from Twain Source.
