You can scan a drawing directly into Scan2CAD if you have:
Scanning with a Twain- or WIA-compliant scannerTwain and WIA are communication standards that allow data sources like scanners and digital cameras to communicate with host applications like Scan2CAD. If your scanner is Twain- or WIA-compliant you can use it to scan directly into Scan2CAD.
Load from Twain Source starts up your scanner software. Use your scanner software to scan your drawing. If you have scanned your drawing in grayscale or color the Warning: Color Image dialog may appear. If it does, select an appropriate option and click OK.

After scanning, your drawing appears in Scan2CAD as a raster image. You can save it using File Menu > Raster > Save As.
Scanning with a Colortrac SmartLF scannerTo scan directly into Scan2CAD using a Colortrac SmartLF scanner:
Select the scanning options you want to use.
If you have scanned your drawing in grayscale or color the Warning: Color Image dialog may appear. If it does, select an appropriate option and click OK.
After scanning, your drawing appears in Scan2CAD as a raster image. You can save it using File Menu > Raster > Save As.
Scanning with an HP Designjet T2300 eMFP scannerTo scan directly into Scan2CAD using an HP Designjet T2300 eMFP scanner:
Select the scanning options you want to use.
After scanning, your scanned drawing is displayed in Scan2CAD for preview. If the scan is not optimal, you can change the dialog settings and scan again. When you are happy with the scan, click OK. If you have scanned your drawing in grayscale or color the Warning: Color Image dialog may appear. If it does, select an appropriate option and click OK.
Your drawing appears in Scan2CAD as a raster image. You can save it using File Menu > Raster > Save As.
If you have turned the Warning: Color Image dialog off, you can reactivate it by selecting File Menu > Raster > Options > Color Display Warning.
